One of the major milestones in my best friend’s life happened over the weekend. (:

What started out to be one of the busiest weekends of 2012 was also one of the happiest! We had one last sleepover before she said “I do” to the love of her life (spanning 9 years and counting!). All our friends were there to witness the momentous occasion, in our ballerina-inspired dresses in Beauty and the Beast yellow. The wedding was beautiful! What made it even more special were all the details that the bride and groom, along with family and friends, made sure were well thought of.

To Marc and Laika, here’s to the newest chapter in your love story. I hope you share many more milestones together and that you continue on making that firm decision to stay together. I’m so excited for your future together. I love you both!

I come here when I want to clear my head, feel the wind on my face, or simply get a good workout. There is a portion that slopes uphill so it’s great for running. Only people are allowed here so I can run freely without fear of getting hit by a car or chased by a dog (which has happened before!). After spending some time here, I always come home feeling rejuvenated and at peace.

The first time I saw this video clip of Good Morning America’s feature about Antigravity Aerial Yoga, I super wanted to try it. Now that it’s already in Manila, I still haven’t tried it yet since time doesn’t permit me to.

Fly Yoga or Antigravity Aerial Yoga is a mix of different yoga techniques with the help of the AntiGravity Hammock. It acts as a soft trapeze and support while doing basic inversions and poses. It’s just like doing an act in Cirque du Soleil!

I seriously hope I could try it soon. How about you, what do you want to try to do? Share them with me.

Believe me when I say you shouldn’t miss Gossip Girl‘s 100th episode tomorrow night at 8 pm on ETC! Here are just some jaw-dropping moments to expect:

5) The opening dance is an homage to Marilyn Monroe’s “Diamond’s are a Girl’s Best Friend.” It’s fun to see how Blake Lively pulls off this bombshell persona, and even more fun to see the GG boys put on their dancing shoes.

4) There are many little things that pay tribute to the classic scenes and lines of the show. You’ll love The Kooks’ rendition of Peter Bjorn and John’s “Young Folks” (the song that opened the pilot episode) as well as a “Not enough!” line at the wedding that made me tear up. Oh, and let’s not forget the beautiful sets and gowns from the wedding. Serena’s maid of honor dress was just divine!

3) Will they or won’t they? That’s the question on everyone’s mind about Louis and Blair’s wedding! But the bigger question is, will Chuck swoop in and take Blair away before it’s too late—or will he set her free for good? An episode is never complete with some Chair drama.

2) The return of Georgina will delight true-blue Gossip Girl fans! The sneakiest of GG characters, trouble must be her middle name.

1) For fans of both the books and the long-running TV show, I know how frustrating it can get to try to figure out who Gossip Girl is. So after making us wait for what seems like forever, the producers have finally decided to reveal his/her true identity!!! Any guesses on who he/she might be?

Of course, I expected nothing less from Rachel Bilson, who is one of this generation’s biggest style icons. She’s got the whole polished-but-relaxed vibe down pat, and looks amazing about 99% of the time. I’m not sure if real doctors wear shorts and designer heels as often as she does, but you know what? I’ll buy it. Here are my five favorite Zoe Hart outfits:

I love that they show how her look progresses throughout the day—she’s always carrying around a black blazer or a classic leather jacket to throw on in the evening.

Updating the tee and jeans combo by going sheer and cropped, then adding killer booties and a skinny belt.

This retro-cool striped Equipment blouse sold like hotcakes when the episode aired!

Leather with leather? Yes, please! I love how she looks tough but still feminine.

I just got back from the most amazing week ever, which, actually, started with last-minute tickets to Katy Perry’s Manila concert. (More on that next time.) For four and a half days, I lived and loved the heck out of Singapore with my mom and some family friends. The crisp air, well-planned transpo system, tourist spots, food, and shopping areas—it was beyond awesome.

It’s hard to compress the entire experience into one entry so let’s focus on the last two days, shall we? We spent a whole day at Universal Studios, where I rode as many rides as I could to get over my slight fear of heights. Our Singapore-based friend suggested we line up for the Transformers, Galactica, The Mummy, and Jurassic Park rides first. The 3D Transformers ride was geek-tastic, Galactica’s Human roller coaster made so dizzy that I had to sit out Cylon, and The Mummy’s indoor roller coaster was surprisingly good.

We didn’t get to try the Jurassic Park ride because of the ridic waiting time, but it was okay. There was so much to see and hear; it was a complete sensory overload.

After Universal, we headed to other parts of Sentosa, where we got to try the Skyride. It doesn’t stop when you board; you stand on a circle, jump on the bench, pull down a piece of metal—the only thing preventing you from falling hundreds of feet below—and try to forget your feet are hanging and enjoy the spectacular view.

On our last day, just a few hours before our flight back home, I caught the musical Wicked with my good friend and COC 8 member, Micah. Going in, I didn’t know much about it but I did know it was a must-see. I had listened to some of the songs before, including the iconic “Defying Gravity,” and it all became so much better when the story unfolded before me. It was witty and touching, and the production value was well worth the ticket price. Above and below are two of my fave numbers.

Oh, and one more gravity-defying thing about this trip? It was my first time out of the country and I paid for all my expenses: airfare, accommodations, food, pasalubong, and all the little things. The best things in life are supposedly free but there’s a sense of fulfillment and pride in saving up enough money to treat myself to a well-deserved vacation.

1. Love love loved the candy-fied stage!

2. Her wacky costume changes. Check out Katy’s peacock and Catwoman-inspired outfits!

3. Katy kisses (and gets kissed by) Candy Cutie Ivan Dorschner. Who do you think is luckier?

4. Bright lights (when she sang “Extraterrestrial”) and fireworks (for my favorite song “Firework” obviously!) on stage. Even her costume lit up!

5. Katy sprays the crowd with foam. I totally wished I was in the front row!

6. Of course, the concert wouldn’t have been as fun without my concert buddies, Peach and Fifi.

Dandelion is a sweet ballerina pink color, perfect for vampire-looking cheeks like mine. I love it because it’s hard to overdo and you’ll just look naturally rosy and pretty with its subtle shimmer. My friend has noticed that I no longer look pale or sickly so I guess it really does the trick!
