Hello friends!!!

I just checked my one and only previous blog entry in the site and I realized that it's been 7 months since! Oh no!!! I've got a lot of catching up to do… :s

Let me start by telling you guys what I did with the Candy girls yesterday. I went on my FIRST EVER radio tour! I was a bit reluctant when Mia told me that I should go. Actually, reluctant isn't the right word… I was more TERRIFIED than anything else! I just knew that I would stutter and get brain dead the moment the DJ would ask me to say something. But with the support of my Candy sisters, I decided to just go for it! There’s always a first time for everything.

So I woke up EXTRA early yesterday in order to be at the office at 7am. Mimi, Angel and I headed to 99.5 HIT FM first, and were greeted warmly by DJs Tin, Sam Oh, Cristina and Benny. While my brain AND eyes were still in their "just woke up" mode, these 4 DJs were already so lively and giddy. I loved how they were all just having fun, and how it seemed like they were just a bunch of friends talking to each other, and just happen to be on air! They made it easy for me to loosen up and not be so tense about the whole thing.

We then proceeded to Wave 89.1 and met DJ George. She was very friendly as well. We loved the movie posters around her booth (especially Kung Fu Panda and Meet the Spartans).

Lastly, we visited DJ Boom and guest Reema on Magic 89.9. All the girls were warning me about Boom and how he asks random questions that put you on the spot! True enough, Boom grilled me on air about topics on boys and first dates! That's what I get for being  the "newbie"! I was sweating in the hot seat! Hehe! But nonetheless, everything turned out to be a super fun experience.

I’m glad that I got to visit the different stations and see what goes on “behind the scenes”. I still had a few boo-boos and “stunned” moments on-air, but I think (or, I hope!) it was pretty good for my first time.

Hi Candy girls!

Allow me to introduce myself to the "blogging world"… I'm Margaux, the new fashion assistant of Candy, and this is my first time ever to blog here! Yup, I had to make kulit to almost all of the Candy staff and ask step-by-step directions on how to do it. Heehee… (Thanks guys!)

As my first entry, I'd like to share some funny behind-the-scenes stories from one of the August issue's fashion editorial. Have you all seen the "Bright and Shiny" rain wear pages? First of all… A rain shoot is supposed to be gloomy right? Well… It was the sunniest day of the year! Our photographer, Ocs faced quite a challenge in making the picture look as dark as possible. But it turned out OK — we were just wet with sweat from working under the burning sun instead of wet from working with actual rain. I cant decide which would have been better! Another funny secret… For the shoot, we had no water supply to create rain! The solution? 1.5 liter water bottles with punched holes on the cap, filled with water from the sink. Mia and I had fun squirting away right next to the models (see the first and last pictures). 

Here's a pic of the team during the shoot… That's Mia, Nicolette and Isa (models), Ogie (hair stylist), me (check out the water bottle I'm holding!), and Angie (makeup arist), while waiting for the rain which never came.

Well, rain or shine, we all had tons of fun and laughs during the shoot! 'Til the next one!
