What We’re Pondering: Older Love

I know you girls are way, way too young to be thinking about settling down and all that ~serious business~ but sometimes it’s good to get a glimpse of what love that isn’t young (literally and figuratively) will feel like. What happens when your light, new, teenage-dream romance has faded into the background, making way for contempt-breeding familiarity and the stifling sense that this is what your life will be like—nothing more, nothing less—from now on?

If you find yourself pondering this too, you might want to listen to this mix I created, inspired by the Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy film Before Midnight. Here’s something I cannot tell you enough, though: Don’t hurry. Don’t worry too much. Enjoy being young, and enjoy being in love. There’s nothing else quite like it. :-)
