I received this framed poster from an unexpected friend I made this year and realized how it sums up my feelings about 2012. Despite all the challenges and disappointments that have come my way over the past few months, I am grateful for the people that God allowed me to cross paths with (new additions to the Candy team and plus ones [you know who you are :D], office friends in the form of the Total Girl staff [I've been helping them out while their EIC is on maternity leave], more adorable little babies to play with courtesy of my high school friends, and IAN Somerhalder [I just had to include him!]) and for the wonderful surprises I didn’t imagine doing at the beginning of the year (going on trips in and out of the country and working on exciting projects aside from Candy namely Disney Princess, Polished, and Total Girl magazine).

I’m quite hopeful that 2013 will bring more happy surprises for me and everyone I love. (Crossing my fingers that my sister and nephew will come home next February!) Here’s hoping you will be able to look back and see all the blessings bestowed upon you (instead of dwelling on the what ifs or could haves) then move forward to doing and achieving bigger, better things.
