Who doesn’t love a batch of chewy, ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookies? Throw in peanut butter chips and it gets even better. I made a batch of these cookies for my lola‘s 87th birthday over the weekend and couldn’t resist keeping a few pieces for our house. Sooo yummy!

Does she look familiar? She used to be candymag.com’s resident web designer! Loved seeing Beam at one of our crafty friends’ birthday celebration. Missed seeing her doodles and couldn’t help but keep this tissue paper, where she did studies of her hipster panda. Adorbs! Will definitely be first in line once she sells The Hipster Panda on Artwine!

It’s always a good thing, welcoming friends back home from a trip. And it’s just a bonus when they give you awesome stuff as pasalubong. I have yet to try these dark chocolate covered pomegranate seeds, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be snacking on them this long weekend. Thanks, Blanche!

Good weather! These days have been sweltering and I know I complain about the heat just like most of you. But I’d take sunshine over gloomy weather any day. Hopefully the storm that’s coming won’t linger and we’ll be having sunshiny skies throughout the weekend.

The week isn’t over yet so I’m still hopeful for more things to “make my week.” I’ve got another crafty day tomorrow (sign up if you want to join!) plus we’re celebrating a kabarkada‘s birthday. Then on Sunday, I’m attending and helping out at my first ever baby shower—my best friend’s! So exciting.
