September was one heck of a month, wasn’t it? It sure was for me! So many hot celebs and great bands visited Manila, and I was lucky enough to chat with a few of them.

First up: the American Idols. I’ve been a fan of Phillip Phillips and Heejun Han ever since the audition period, so it was surreal to actually talk to them face-to-face. I asked Heejun about the pranks they’ve pulled on each other while on tour—because you just know he’s the prankster of the group—and he said something about replacing Colton Dixon’s computer wallpaper with a racy photo. There was also something about a Chuckie doll running around the tour bus. Haha!

I also got some one-on-one time with Alex DeLeon and Alex Marshall from The Cab, thanks to Ayala Malls. They said that when they think of the Philippines, they think of all the fans that wait for them in their hotel lobby. “They just want to say hi and they’re very respectful about it. When you see them in the morning, you can’t not be in a good mood the rest of the day.” Good job, The Cab fans!

Last but absolutely not the least, I got to talk to Foster the People’s vocalist Mark Foster on the phone, just this Monday. Best 15 minutes of my month! I’m a huge fan of the band; I remember putting them on my concert wish list and thinking I’d have to fly to some country to see them, but nooo, they’re coming here this weekend! My friend Jean and I will be along Row H, patron section—come say hi if you spot us, okay?
