Hi, Candy Girls!

If you’re a shoe-holic, I’m sure you’ve heard of the frugalista treasure trove that is Liliw. Last weekend, my family and I went to its main street, a spectacular row of shoes, shoes, and shoes. The sight of all those stores is a bit overwhelming ‘cause you feel like buying everything!

Luckily, I had the sense to bring less than a grand, and I’m so proud to say that I bought only one pair: the zebra-striped flats below (P300).

But it was a bummer to see my P900-ish sparkly flats—bought in a Makati Store That Shall Not Be Named—sold there for a mere P350! As in, it was the exact. Same. Pair.

If you are from Manila and have the means to go to Liliw a few times a year, I suggest you do your shoe bulk buying there.

And if you do find yourself in Liliw, check out the famous Arabela restaurant. This charming spot serves amazing pizza and pasta dishes for P200 to P250 per head.
