The Cutest Boy in the World
November 18th, 2010At about 2:30 pm yesterday, Marla, Macy and I had the privilege to meet one of the sweetest, cutest American Idol alumni—David Archuleta! 
Marla and I followed AI Season 7 religiously and rooted for Archie during the exciting finale. When he came to Manila with Idol champ David Cook, Marla, Mimi, and I belted our hearts out to their songs. So it was such a thrill when a year after that fateful concert (where we only got to gaze at him from afar), we finally met him up close and personal!
I won’t tell you what we talked about during the interview (you’ll have to wait for Candy‘s March issue for that!), but here are a few snaps for your viewing pleasure. 
And because we are huge fans and know how much he loves mangoes in the Philippines, we decided to get him a pack of Mangorind—sweet, tangy mango-flavored candies which he can take with him back to the US! (I hope you think of us when you eat these, Archie!)
If you can’t get enough of Archie, be sure to grab a copy of his newest album, The Other Side of Down. (It’s currently on repeat in my iPod! I’m loving the tracks “Parachutes and Airplanes” and “Complain.”) David, who graciously signed our copies, says, “My sophomore album is about moving forward and making progress. I’m heading towards ‘the other side of down,’ which is up.”

Ah! Miss Angel, how lucky!
I went to his concert at the Sky Dome and it was packed with girls. He only performed three songs, but he sounds ten times better than on the CD… And as embarrassing as it is to admit, I did shed a few tears the moment he came out.
I’m still on a David Archie high!

Was it just me, or did David looked like he was glowing while he was on stage and while he was signing autographs??
