Music for a Cause
October 2nd, 2009With Typhoon Ondoy ravaging our cities just last week and Typhoon Pepeng heading our way as I type this (yikes!), it only seems logical for Music Management International and All Youth Channels Inc. to postpone the Katy Perry/Boys Like Girls concert which was supposed to take place tomorrow at the SM MoA Concert Grounds.
The concert will be moved to November 14 (Saturday) at the same venue, but instead of it just being a Katy Perry gig, the organizers have decided to turn it into a fund raising event! The concert will be a venue for people to donate goods such as water, clothes, and medicine. The organizers are currently formalizing their list, and I heard they’re trying to get international and local acts to perform. Who do you wish would play that night?
Sadly, I don’t know if Boys Like Girls will still be able to make it. I think they might have a gig in another part of Asia that time. Too bad because Koko, Macy, and I wanted to wear these for the boys…
I hope you’ll all have a safe rainy weekend, Candy Girls! Let’s continue praying for our fellowmen who have experienced the worst, and do what we can to uplift their spirits.
