Gossip Girl always has a special place in the hearts of the Candy staff. We passionately rave (or rant) about each new episode immediately after watching it. We “stumble upon” spoilery behind-the-scenes snaps or share OMG news regarding unlikely hook-ups and not-so-surprising break-ups. And we constantly gush over the wonderful songs, the fashion-forward outfits, the killer one-liners, and the amazing chemistry of the cast.

When the frustrating finale of the first season unfolded right before our very eyes (C ditched B who traveled to Europe, S broke up with D who hung out with V in Brooklyn, L married a billionaire and left R behind), we, Gossip Girl‘s loyal minions, believed that she would redeem herself when she finally came back. And boy, did she impress! ETC invited the Candy girls to a very special viewing party last Tuesday. We were treated to the very first episode of the second season which started off in the Hamptons, the UESiders’ favorite summer getaway. To honor the show’s highly-anticipated return, we decided to play dress up!

Marla/Lily and Steph/Nelly won cool pairs of shades they could wear during the summer. The others weren’t as lucky, but we still had fun! Right before we left, I was even asked by the ETC crew to spill what I loved most about Gossip Girl. Honestly, I didn’t know where to begin! I must have stuttered a few lines (I couldn’t hear myself because of the loud music ), but hopefully, I got my point across.

I can’t wait to find out who ends up with whom (I still believe in the Chair pairing!), but as the saying goes, “It’s the journey, not the destination.” Be sure to join in and catch the latest season of Gossip Girl, Tuesdays at 8 pm only on ETC. I know I will!
