Hi, Candy girls!

Did you know that I enjoyed working on our November 2008 issue? Meeting stars is actually one of the reasons why I wanted to work for a magazine. I wanted to see them when the cameras weren’t rolling to discover if they were really nice—or just pretending! Plus, I wanted the opportunity to ask them random, personal questions without the glare of the camera lights and the dramatic score playing in the background.

Over the years, I’ve met a lot of local and international stars. I’ve lumped them into three categories: “Amazing” (as in I like them or we clicked right away), “Ho-Hum” (not really my type), and “As Expected” (they lived up to my expectations). I’m happy to share that this year, I’ve had more “amazing” encounters—such as meeting the cast of Camp Rock (I really enjoyed chatting with Alyson Stoner and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle), talking to the cute guys of Boys Like Girls (read about them in our December issue), blowing bubbles for Chicosci (have you seen their bubbly photo in our ish?), shooting covers with fab people like Megan Young and AJ Perez (he’s part of our ‘08 obsessions), and partying all night with Ed Westwick. (Okay, fine! You caught me. That last bit just happened in my dreams.)

Sometimes, the Candy girls go crazy during the celeb shoots. This happens when: a) we’re bored out of our minds while waiting for the next celeb to arrive, or b) we’ve had a super long day but the adrenalin kicks in one last time. Here’s proof of how zany we got!
