Day in the Life of Candy
Super Short Stories
July 9th, 2008Because I haven’t done this in so long and I got inspired by Marla, I’m going to give it a try.
This time, inspired by different lomographs.
This is where we usually meet. But this time, I walked past the sign and didn’t even stop to look.
This is where he said goodbye.
It’s been a month and I still can’t bring myself to look at that sign. And even if I don’t see it, I remember. That sign meant “the end.â€
It was the perfect day. No plans—just a car, a cooler of drinks, and a basket of food.
“Where are we going?†someone shouted from the back.
“To the beach!†everyone else echoed.
Finally, after a hot and humid car ride to forever, they reached their beautiful destination: the bluest beach four hours away.
While she thought roses were overrated, she secretly wished that one day, when she woke up, there would be a bouquet of flowers to greet her good morning.
Just as the sun was curiously peeking from behind a cloud, there it was. Barely missing her bedroom window, a row of flowers reaching for the sky.
Want to try, too?
Just write a story in exactly fifty-five words! I want to read them, too.
A storyteller today,
Macy :macy:

Hehe, try mo, Mim. I like 55 word fiction, because it’s so short. (: And parang the challenge is really to make a story out of those fifty-five words.

Wow. I love the picture with the exit sign!
I bought a Supersampler recently, and I’m really enjoying it! Medyo gastos nga lang sa film and pagpapascan. Heehee.
