Mia’s Pizza Blitz
Monday, June 23rd, 2008I’ve been having a monster pizza fixation for weeks now, and I see no signs of it letting up. But because I’m still technically on a healthy eating kick (emphasis on technically!), I’ve been seeking out less greasy pizzas. Here are two of my current faves:
Joey Pepperoni’s The Works

And Roma Mia’s Scarface

I’m also liking Joey P. and Roma Mia’s interiors.

And I’m also loving Joey P.’s Sundried Tomatoes. So tasty!

How about you, where did you have your most recent bite of pizza? Let’s compare notes!

Rockin’ NYC
Friday, June 20th, 2008Did you miss me, Candy girls?
If you noticed, I was MIA last week and didn’t get to blog on my usual day. You see, I had this amazing opportunity to travel to New York (yes, the Big Apple!) to see the sights. Okay, more like take a big bite at everything in just a span of five days.
I was sent there to replace K-Zone’s Maggie (who was down with chicken pox, poor girl!) and cover the world premiere of the Disney Channel’s Camp Rock. Aside from this cool, “rubbing elbows with the stars†experience, the trip provided me with a chance to reunite with my based-in-the-US besties who I haven’t seen for ages. (But that’s another story!)
One thing is for certain: the Jonas Brothers are cuuuuuuuute! They were dressed to the nines in sharp signature suits and obviously knew how to charm every girl in sight. The high-pitched shrieks were alarming, and you could just imagine the chaos that would ensue if those teenage fans were allowed to have a go at them. Now let me share with you a couple of pictures I took at the rockin’ event.
That’s me in front of the white (yes, white!) carpet in my rock and roll outfit, waiting for the stars to arrive.
First up, the cutest Jonas Brother ever: Frankie!!! All the girls from the Camp Rock cast were smitten with him—and we were too! I wish I could have gone over the steel bar to give him a big hug.
I was so happy to find out that aside from Vanessa Hudgens, we’ve got two Filipinos representing us in the Disney dimension. This time around they’re Roshon Fegan (he’s an awesome dancer!) and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (she’s so cute and nice!). I hope they snag more Disney projects in the future.

Sagada’s Best
Thursday, June 19th, 2008Hey, Candy girls!
Like most of you, I also went back to school this June. But before I hit the books and got back to studying mode, I had to have one last hurrah! So I went off to Sagada with friends during the Independence Day weekend. 8-}
On the way there, we passed by the Banaue Rice Terraces. It’s truly a majestic sight!

Our Little Girl Goes to School
Wednesday, June 18th, 2008It was 3 years ago when God gave our family the cutest bundle of joy. I still remember her being the baby with fold because of her overflowing fats.
When my sister-in-law showed me this drawing that was posted in their cabinet, I thought “Our little girl is ready for school”.
My brother and sister-in-law enrolled her in a school near our place. She was really excited when they bought her school bag. My brother said she specifically picked the Disney Princesses bag and matched it with a lunch box. He also asked me to make a name tag that will complement her school things theme.

My So-Called (High School) Life
Tuesday, June 17th, 2008In her last blog entry, Angel mentioned how we reminisced about the music from our high school years on the way home from Tagaytay. Today, let me elaborate. Presenting…the songs that would make it to The Soundtrack of My High School Life (along with stuff I used to believe back then)!
1. In high school, I thought every guy I developed a crush on was a potential boyfriend.
So let’s make a start of something that cannot be broken
The mould is so strong, treat this love as a child
That grows into something worthwhile.
—”Each Time” by E-17
2. In high school, I thought first loves lasted forever, or that even if they didn’t, I could be an exception to the rule.
Baby now and forever
Until the time is through
I’ll be standing here
Waiting and never give up my faith in you
Trying to make it clear…
Now and forever
Until the time is through.
