The stories pictures tell

A picture paints a thousand words.

So imagine my thrill when my pictures got included in an exhibit at Team Manila for lomographers? I take pictures because it makes me happy, but never in this lifetime had I imagined I’d actually be part of an exhibit!

These pictures were taken in my tito’s house in Tagaytay. When I got my pictures, I was beaming. The super blue sky was such a happy thought (thanks to the expired Ektachrome film I got from Mia—thanks, Mi!). So a few weeks ago, we got an email from Team Manila asking lomographers for pictures taken with medium format film. Since I have a Holga, the Candy girls (particularly Mimi and Roch) egged me to join. I didn’t send my pictures until the last day, and my email bounced!!! Ack! They sent us the wrong address. So I figured, maybe it’s not meant to be. :P But as I was browsing through LomoManila, I saw that they extended the deadline, and the email address was different. I tried my luck and I guess I was lucky because…

My set of five pictures now happily resides at the Team Manila office! Well, until May 25 that is. My Story In Lomography is running until then at the Team Manila office (146B Jupiter Street).

Drop by if you can. You’ll get to see all these amazing pictures and maybe if you like them enough, you’ll want to buy your own cam, too! :)

Still reeling,
Macy the lomographer/baker/writer/ :macy:

Wow, that’s really cool! Congratulations! :)

My friend told me that instead of having your photos developed, you can actually have them transferred to a CD. :> But I guess iba yung feeling if you have your roll developed. :))

Ayessa: Go! I was intimidated by it at first, but I love how my pictures come out.

Nana: Yeah, that’s what we do (scan to CD) kasi it’s much cheaper (you look at your pics first and print the ones that you like lang hehe). d: But yeah, seeing your pics printed gives you a sense of pride. :))
