Help Find the Exit

Last Tuesday, Macy and I went to Hard Rock Café to support MTV’s buzz-worthy cause to raise awareness and end exploitation and illegal trafficking of human beings. It sounds serious and unbelievable that it could happen to anyone (yes, even you!), but after watching the 30-minute documentary that included a young Filipina victim and a sleazy old trafficker called “The Chairman,” I was appalled that this was actually happening to thousands of people worldwide!

Lots of people were there to support MTV such as the band Dicta License (the lyrics of their songs were so moving!), US ambassador Kenney (she was so inspiring!), and pop balladeer Christian Bautista (who’s hosting this documentary which will be shown both in Filipino and in English).

Traffic: an MTV Exit Special will premiere on MTV Philippines on October 18, Thursday, 8:30 pm. Be sure to catch it then or during the encore telecasts:

October 20, 9:30 pm
October 24, 3:30 pm
October 27, 1 pm
October 29, 5:30 pm
November 2, 10 am

Let MTV open your eyes and let’s help make the world a better and a safer place to live in!

I got to watch a film about human trafficking some months ago. The movie was set in the Philippines; forgot the title though.

Yay for Christian Bautista! ♥ ;)

It’s sad how a lot of this happens in the Philippines, right? Good thing more and more people are working together to fight it. You should hear the horrible ways they traffic people!
