Candy Blog
Day in the Life of Candy
Guest Blogger #22
Hey, Candy girls!

How's school so far? Is the novelty of it still fresh within yourselves or are you already dreading it? Hehehe. But whether you're in High School or College, always remember that these are really the best times of your life…so do make the most of it. Make sure you have something else aside from your academics—may it be varsity, the student council, or any other org. These are the things that give you balance and will help you stay motivated. Plus, it'll always give you something to look forward to. That way, the “novelty of school” might stick around much longer than you expect it to!
Anyway, I'm glad I have this chance to write in the Candy blog because, since I am a relatively new artist, it gives me an opportunity to promote my music. But before that, I have to make kwento pala muna! Hehehe. So here goes:
Last June 22, I was lucky enough to be part of the MTV VJ Hunt Finals. I was there to be interviewed onstage, which was actually one of the tasks of the finalists. I had the honor of being interviewed by finalist Lucia Fischer. All of the contestants were amazing and really knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, there could only be three winners (supposedly just two, but there was a tie). After the interview, I went on stage again with my band and performed my current single, “Falling Away” and another track from my album, “Isipin.” Other performers were Sino Sikat, Danita, and Kitchie Nadal.
There was an after-party, so Juni (my lead guitarist / producer) and I decided to stick around. We hung out with Mark Escueta (my cousin to the nth degree!), VJs Maggie Wilson, Anne Curtis, and VJ Hunt ’07 winner Kat. It was truly a ROCKIN' experience! (All pictures from the event courtesy of my good friend, Timmy Dadia.)

Well, that’s my kwento for you! Again, my album entitled I AM M.E. is now available at all major record bars. Please do grab a copy when you get the chance.
Support OPM! My current single is “Falling Away.” Please vote for it on your favorite radio stations, MYX, and MTV. For content, just text Miguel or MiguelPOLY to 2910.
If you want to catch me perform LIVE, I'll be at Capone's (Valero St., Makati) every Wednesday of July, 10:30pm. For those of you up North, I'll be at Ratsky Tomas Morato on July 5 and 12, and for those in the Manila area, Ratsky Malate on July 19 and 26. All shows at Ratsky start at 11pm.
That's it.
Watch for me in future issues of Candy—I hope you're not yet tired of me by then. Haha! Thanks for having me here, Candy girls!
