Day in the Life of Candy

The Post-Christmas Report

Hi, Candy girls!

How was your Christmas? I'm recharged from our four-day holiday and raring to go back to work! :D But before I dive back in to that, let me tell you about my Christmas.

A few days before Christmas, I went to the mall with my two younger brothers to finish shopping for gifts. We got awesome gifts for our kid cousins and nieces and for our Kuya's inaanak. We were so tired from walking around so we retreated to Oody's to grab a late lunch. Mmm. Good stuff.

The following day, my first ever godson paid a visit to our house. Believe it or not, the last time I saw him was when he was a teeny tiny baby during his christening. And now, he's a lovely eight-month old little boy. Aww, I couldn't stop taking pictures of him! He's so cute! He couldn't stop playing with the squirt toys I gave him. Hopefully, bath time will be lots of fun with them. :D

On Christmas Eve, we heard Mass in our village where my mom was a reader. Yihee! We all teased her after and told her that she did a good job. :D We had the traditional Noche Buena at home. And we opened gifts after. Here's a picture of my Mommy and Daddy. I love it! They look so happy and in love. :D

On Christmas day, I finally ran out of things to do. Haha! Our computer died so that was out of the question. I ran out of TV shows and movies to watch so I looked around my room and found a book to read. I decided to re-read this:

I love Francesca Lia Block. A friend introduced her to me a couple of years ago and I eventually got a copy of her books from another friend. I've read Echo, Violet and Claire (so far my favorite), and this one. This is a collection of 9 stories by Block. Girl Goddess #9 is a story about two girls who make a zine (oooh! just like E-Candy! :P) and meet one of their favorite artists and even get to interview him. All of Block's stories show the different kinds and forms of girls there are in the world and that each and every one of them are goddesses. And that just because you're different doesn't mean you aren't extraordinary in your own right. :)

So that was my four-day holiday crammed into one post. Haha! How about you? How did you spend your happy holidays? :D Let me know. I'd love to hear all about it!

Loff,
Macy
