Day in the Life of Candy
The Magical World of Disney
September 1st, 2006Hey, Candy girls!
Last week, I was fortunate enough to visit Hong Kong Disneyland with a bunch of writers from various magazines and newspapers. I didn't know any of them, but because of the magical land we visited, we all managed to have loads of fun!
Here are a bunch of pics from my short trip…
I couldn't resist taking a picture with all these cuddly stuffed toys! I even brought home one for myself—a baby Eeyore which had a rattle inside it!

These two photos were taken at Disneyland Resorts' Hollywood Hotel. I so wanted to bring home that cool shower curtain and was tempted to take a dip in the piano-shaped pool.
Loved the fact that you could spot Mickey Mouse everywhere—even in the food! (Spot the hidden Mickey in my salad.) After seeing the high chairs, I knew I had to bring my baby nephew Jared there.
Check out the view from my suite at the Disneyland Hotel. I had the sweetest room ever. It had two majorly comfy beds and a lux bathroom which had a TV and a bathtub in it! But the best thing about it was that I had the room all to myself. Woohoo! ![]()
Before starting our day, we had a hearty breakfast at the Enchanted Garden and got to spend some quality time with Mr. M himself!

Posing with the other Philippine delegates as pretty princesses and dashing princes. Who says Disneyland is just for kids?
Had a blast riding Autopia and the Winnie the Pooh ride with my officemate, Trisha of Marie Claire magazine.
I couldn’t stop laughing when we met up with Stitch in one of Disneyland’s newest attractions. He really interacts with the audience! Later on, I found a silly Stitch coin bank in one of Disneyland’s gift shops. Couldn’t bring it home (it was too heavy!), so ByAnne and I decided to snap a pic with it.
A musical fireworks show was the perfect ending to the perfect day spent at this magical wonderland. I was thisclose to tears!![]()
At the end of the day, I couldn’t resist taking a snapshot with our tour guides Wakley and Lingke. They ushered us to the best rides and saved us the best seats in the house (for The Lion King, Stitch Encounter, and Golden Mickeys show).
Ah! Home sweet home… I had sweet dreams that night, just like Sleepy on the “Do Not Disturb” sign.
So when are you and your friends taking a trip to HK Disneyland?
Mimi
