Happy New Year, Candy Girls! Okay, so it’s not exactly the New Year anymore but we’ve been so busy the past few days that we haven’t had time to update our blog! So sorry!

Last Monday was a really exciting day though ’cause Ines, Mimi, and I went on a radio tour to promote the January-February ish. (Have you checked it out yet? It’s jam-packed with articles, fashion spreads, celeb gossip , and more! But what’s even more special about it is that it comes with the Candy Prom Special and the Candy Boy-strology, which is a guide to the inner workings of his mind and heart. It’s super cute and it comes free with this month’s ish!!!)

Anyway, here are some snappies from our radio tour. Our first stop was Magic 89.9 with DJ Kelly. She’s super nice and bubbly! We had a great time talking to her about this month’s ish!

Our next stop was Wave 89.1 with DJ Pam. She’s a self-confessed kikay girl, which is why she instantly loved the dresses and accessories we featured in the mag. She says that even if she’s not in high school anymore, she still loves browsing through the pages of Candy. It’s true though that even if you’re not going to the prom this year, the fab dresses, accessories, and hair and makeup tips in the Prom Special are perfect for a fun night out!

Next up was Jam 88.3 with DJ Claudine. Don’t you just love their colorful wallpaper?  

Hmmm… could our dear editor be shifting careers soon? She looks like she’s ready to record her own album in this pic!

Our next stop was 99.5 RT with DJ Neil. Ines and I met him before when we had a radio tour for the September Candy Cutie ish. Mimi met him when she did a radio tour for W.I.T.C.H. He was quite jolly as usual and he said that even boys would buy this issue of Candy because Georgina Wilson’s on the cover. We hope he’s right ’cause she’s super pretty! DJ Diana arrives a little while later and joins in on our conversation about the prom. We weren’t able to take a picture with them though ’cause there were so many people in the booth (they had a guest band) that we totally forgot!

Anyway, we had a few hours to kill before our final stop at Monster Radio RX 93.1. So the girls and I headed to one of our fave restos, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. (We absolutely looove their Chai Latte and Ice Blended drinks!) Candy’s PR Associate Kris was with us too. She’s not in the pictures but she really took care of us throughout the whole tour.  Thanks, Kris!  

When we finally got to RX, we were in for a pleasant surprise. Singer Christian Bautista was being interviewed for RX’s Live Concert Series. He sang a few songs too and we couldn’t help but swoon over his good looks and soothing voice. (Okay, I admit, I swooned a little bit more than Mimi, Ines, and Kris. Hehehe.) He was nice enough to let me have a picture taken with him after the show (even if he looked a bit sleepy!).

Talking to DJ Jose and DJ Fran about the Prom Special was so much fun! Jose kept making booboos like saying "corset" instead of corsage. He was really sweet though and he was very interested in what Candy’s Boy-strology had to say about a Capricorn like him. According to our booklet, he’s "Mr. Bring Home to Mommy." No wonder he was everyone’s prom date back in high school even if he never had his own prom!

Though it had been a tiring day. we trooped back to the office with happy hearts. It was fun meeting all the DJs and talking about the mag we love best! And just to show you how much we (and they) loved it, we were invited to go back to RX tomorrow. This time, we’ll be on air with DJ Raffy for a whole hour just talking about the Prom and all things Candy. Catch us at Heard on Thursdays from 9-10 pm on RX 93.1!
