Say hello to our new COC!
Hey Candy girls!
How have y’all been? How were your tests? Hope you did good! We’ve been busy, busy, busy ’cause we’ve been trying to meet our deadlines (so that we could enjoy a stress-free vacation). But of course, even if we’re busy, we want to let you know what’s been going on on our side of the planet. 
This month, we introduced you to our newest batch of young writers: the Council of Cool 6! But instead of just reading their entries, picking our faves, and featuring the girls behind the write-ups (like we usually did for the last few years), we made it more exciting for the COC 6 applicants! This year, we held interviews and dares which showcased how creative and gutsy the applicants could get. (Check out the magazine for the full report! Flip to the Candy Rap pages…)
We had a tough time deciding which girls would make it to the final eight, but it was fun getting to know new girls who’ve been long-time readers of the magazine. I just want to give a personal shout-out to all the girls who tried out but didn’t quite make it. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts and for trying out. (You can always try again next year!) As for the girls who made it (namely Portia, Sweet, Raleigh, Pia, J.C., Ivy, Regine, and Nica), CONGRATULATIONS! I hope you’ll always work hard and submit your assignments on time. Or else, I’ll turn into this… 
Hahaha!

i just looove nikki gil! and i love COC. i hope i could be one of them though > well, reading this months ish just drives me crazy (in a good way) with your new trends. i just love ‘em. keep ‘em coming up coz i’ll be reading Candy Mag all the way! thank you!

I cant wait to put my hands on the november-ish already. Anyway, i loved the column of How to Beat your Fears. I know that my fears wont easily go away, but its useful for me. Keep it up.

Thanks, Mimi. It’s been fun working with all of you…the Candy staff and my co-COC! I wouldn’t want to see that red face so I’ll do my best in my assignments and make sure to meet the deadlines.
Haha! It is really a privilege to be a part of the coolest teen magazine in the country. I’m looking forward to a fun & great year ahead with Candy! 
btw, the November issue is superb! Daniel Radcliffe rocks!

hi! When I read the profiles of the new COC’s, I admit I’m so proud of them! Candy has born it’s new brilliant girls again! Oopz, what’s the problem bothering Ines? Cheer up girl! We are also meant to be here with you right?!
