There is nothing more fulfilling when it comes to the beauty game more than mastering the cat eye flick, finding the perfect red lippie that matches your skin tone, and concealing your dark circles like a boss. But before you can create a strong beauty look, you would have to start with the basics AKA the foundation.
Different girls have different ways of applying foundation. But makeup artist Nikki Tiu gives us the lowdown on the best way to apply this basic makeup product in order to maximize its contents.
Q: What is the best way to apply foundation?
Nikki: Most makeup artist, books, and makeup guides would probably recommend starting the foundation application at the center of the face moving outwards. But foundation application is quite personal. The main goal of putting on foundation is to build coverage to create a flawless canvas for your beauty look. That's why it's best to start applying foundation where coverage is most needed. Then, gently blend out the product to avoid a streaky application.
