Find out how you can keep your skin looking radiant.

One significant way of telling if you have healthy skin is by having an equally healthy glow. Lucky for you, Candy Girls, most teens are blessed with a healthy glow even without the use of foundation, concealer, and other makeup goodies. But as you know very well, all-nighters and late night hangouts are inevitable in a college student's life. While these experiences contribute to making your college life fun and memorable, these also contribute to making your skin look duller by the minute. To make sure that you're able to maintain your healthy skin even with all the college stress, Dr. Raissa Francisco-Pasion shares with us the deets on how you can keep your skin looking radiant all day.

Q: My skin is starting to look dull. What should I do to maintain its glow?

Dr. Raissa: Holiday stress, sleepless nights, alcohol, and eating lots of sugary food can cause skin to look dull and tired. Remember, the skin is the body's largest organ and its state is a reflection of what is happening inside our bodies. Make sure to hydrate well, get regular exercise, and eat and drink in moderation.

Apart from that, dull skin is also caused by dead skin cells accumulating. Exfoliating with a gentle scrub once a week and using products that help speed up skin turnover such as retinoids or alpha hydroxyl acids help give your skin that healthy glow. A visit to your dermatologist for a professional microdermabrasion or a chemical peel also does wonders to help your skin look more radiant.

Dr. Raissa Francisco-Pasion is a Board-certified Dermatologist, a member of the Philippine Dermatological Society, and a Consultant Dermatologist at SKIN Dermatology and Laser Center at The Fort.
