The Candy Girl's Guide To Watching Concerts
Here's your handy guide, Candy Girls, so you won't be the annoying concert goer people hate.

Going to a concert means you get to interact with a lot of people. Watching your favorite musicians go onstage to perform your favorite songs is something everyone should get to experience at least once in their life. But one thing you also go through whenever you attend concerts: annoying concert-goers. This is something we would never wish upon our worst enemy! With the number of concerts happening this year, we think it would be nice to give you a cheat sheet you can read so you won't be ~*that*~ kind of concert goer who will be everybody's worst nightmare at a show.

  1. Do not stand up or sit down during weird times. You'll either cover the view of the people behind you or have your view blocked by the people infront of you. If everyone's beginning to stand up, then go with the crowd. If the performer asked you to sit down for a while, do so.

  2. Do not hit people with your hair. We know you are having a grand time and you just want to feel the music, but please tie your hair if you know it's going to hit the face of the person beside you like a whip (TBH, hair hitting your face hurts. A lot).

  3. Do not hit other people. Got streamers or props? Make sure you don't hit the people around you while you're busy waving it in the air and catching the attention of your favorite musical acts onstage. How would you feel if someone hit your face while you're putting your heart and soul into singing One Direction's "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?" during their On the Road Again Tour this March? Not good, right?

  4. Do not stand on the seats or the bleachers. We know you want to get a good view of your favorite artist as he performs onstage, but we all want the same thing. Never ever block other people's view of the stage—unless you want something hurled at your face, then go ahead and be inconsiderate.

  5. Do not take photos and videos from start to end. We know you want to remember that moment when your favorite artist was breathing the same air and is in the same room. But how can you remember how good the moment felt when you're not even soaking in it? Take a few pictures or videos of the concert, but make sure you watch him perform live with your own two eyes, too. If you're going to spend all night peering at your camera's screen, you might as well just see the show on DVD.

  6. Do not give a running commentary of what's happening. We can see and hear what's happening during the show and so can your friend. We don't need you to tell us. We don't need your opinion on how they put together the concert, too, because we very well know how to form our own.

  7. Make sure you know who's performing and what his songs are. It would be really embarrassing for you to shout the wrong name and the wrong song titles when you declare your love for the musical act onstage.

  8. Do not search for the lyrics of the song online just so you can sing along. We know you want to sing along to the artist's songs, but please, please study them before you go inside the venue. Searching lyrics while the show is ongoing will only make you look like a poser. Besides, you really don't have to sing along to each and every track performed onstage.

  9. Don't make out inside the concert venue. Self-explanatory.

  10. Do not dance like you're the only person in the room. We know you can get carried away, but geez, we need our space, too!
