On writing songs for his self-titled album: “It was my first time doing anything like this, so it was a learning process for me. I’m excited to be on this ride.”
On his rumored duets: “I did a couple of duets, one of which was with Elton John. I actually have two other duets on the album, but unfortunately, I can’t say who they are ‘cause I’m trying to keep it a secret until the actual album is out.”
On his slow rise to success: “I owe my success at a young age on Broadway. I would not change a single thing because I got to live out my 20s in a great way.”
On being famous: “Every step you take, people are watching. People expect you to be perfect the whole time. There’s a lot of pressure on you.”
On his favorite dishes: “I love Mexican food, and I make some really good chicken enchiladas.”
On learning something new: “I’d love to learn how to make sushi.”
On being labeled a heartthrob: “I don’t get it. I don’t ever think of myself as that way. I just try to be a good human being.”
