You may have loved Paul Wesley as the adorable and "perfect" The Vampire Diaries vampire Stefan Salvatore, but you're about to see im in a new light. Paul is playing the supporting role of crooked guy in the indie flick Amira & Sam, which tells the love story of an illegal Iraqi immigrant and an American soldier. In an interview with MTV, Paul said that the role was a nice break for him. "It was such a welcome change from what I do on a daily basis, where [Stefan] is all-knowing and confident," he said. "And he's always doing the right thing. I really think it was a 180, and I hope audiences can see that." Amira & Sam is already set for release in selected theaters and Video OnDemand.

Speaking of The Vampire Diaries, another star from the TV series made headlines this weekend. Rumors say that Nina Dobrev has been dissing Ian Somerhalder's fiancée Nikki Reed, saying that she's not worthy. Reports even said that her latest Instagram post is about Nikki. We totes doubt this, but until Nina says it because her ex's fiancée is fine and wants all of them to be friends again.
After starring in Spring Breakers, Selena Gomez and James Franco will be working together again. The two are starring in the adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel, In Dubious Battle which "explores themes Steinbeck continued to develop: group behavior, social injustice, man's inhumanity to man—all themes which continue to be relevant today," according to an article. No release date was revealed for the movie yet, but we'll surely keep you posted about this one.
