Divergent News: Allegiant To Be Split Into Two Movies
You must have heard by now. The third book in Veronica Roth's dystopian trilogy will be split into two movies.

It's not ground-breaking news. It has been done before. Harry Potter did it first and with great success, and big movie franchises like Twilight and The Hunger Games also followed suit. So it comes as no surprise that Lionsgate?Summit Entertainment has officially announced that the third installment of the Divergent trilogy will be split into two movies. Allegiant Part 1 will be released in March 2016, while the second part will be released in March 2017. So yay that means more screen time for #FourTris, but boo because we'll have to wait a full year to see how it all ends.

Tons of fans aired their grievances online over how the third book ends. Nope, we're not going to spoil it for you—you'll have to finish the book or wait till 2017 to find out. But something pretty major happens at the end so we're not quite sure where they'll be making the split.

Any guesses? What do you think of the news? Do you think it was a wise idea to split Allegiant into two (more screentime can mean more plot and character development) or should they just stick to one film? What do you think about Allegiant being split into two movies?

That gets two thumbs up from me. Any reason to have more onscreen time for my favorite dystopian book is enough for me.
Bad idea. The ending sucked and unless they're going to change it, I can't imagine how the two movies will turn out!
I'll just wait it out and see. I can't really say for sure if it'll be good or bad until after I've seen it.
