There is something about cute musical guys that we totally can't resist. And they're cuter whenever they're onstage, too. We always seem to find ourselves grinning like weirdos while watching them perform. So when we heard that BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend just happened a few hours ago in Glasgow, we just had to do some cutie-spotting while trying to contain all the kilig we're feeling inside. Watch the boys' performances below to know why we can't stop smiling today.
"You and I" by One Direction
Why do these guys have this wonderful effect on us every single time we see them? We can only imagine how our hearts are going to be when they come here for the tour. And can we just take a moment to appreciate how Liam removed his jacket and decided to don a sando during the set? Plus, how about Zayn hitting that high note, looking so good while he's at it?
"Last Night" by The Vamps
Is it weird that we find them cuter when they're glistening with sweat? Just us? Oh, okay. Must be the heat. Watching The Vamps perform this song feels like we're on an endless summer vacay with Connor, Bradley, James, and Tristan. Just perfect.
"Feel" by Bombay Bicycle Club
Nothing feels better than chilling to a song by this band. The good thing is we can all get a chance to see them live. In case you didn't know, Bombay Bicycle Club is coming here for a concert on July 23.
"Sing" by Ed Sheeran
Whether Ed's singing a slow song or an upbeat one, he never fails to make us go a little weak in the knees. We also love how he asked for full audience participation during this set, that we even found ourselves singing along with the crowd.
"A Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay
Coldplay is one of the bands we'll never get tired of listening to. The lyrics and melodies of their songs always ring true for all of us hopeless romantics. And it doesn't hurt that Chris Martin is handsome. We just found the need to say that out loud.
Bonus: "Happy" by Pharrell Williams
If this song doesn't make you smile, we don't know what would. JK! Pharrell's "Happy" is probably one of the quickest ways we can beat all emo feels.
