When an unexplained event leaves 2% of the world’s population missing or about 140 million people, the characters struggle to cope with the aftermath. This drama keeps you guessing.

  1. The Last Man on Earth

This is a post-apocalyptic themed with a funny take, Phil Miller believes to be the last man on earth after a deadly virus wipes out the human race, however he finds a partner who he has clashing personalities with.

  1. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Unbreakable is right, follow Kimmy after 15 years of being held hostage by a doomsday cultist, her rescue sets a new journey in New York where she’s determined to see what she’s been missing out.

  1. 12 Monkeys

A time traveller from a post-apocalyptic future races to stop the release of a deadly virus that kills most of the global population.

  1. Wayward Pines

This mystery thriller sets in the small, quiet town of Wayward Pines where we follow Ethan as he investigates two missing agents. He discovers that he can’t leave with the whole town surrounded by an electric fence enforced by the sheriff.

  1. Agent Carter

Peggy Carter, if that name rings a bell she’s the former lover interest of the one and only Captain America, this show takes a step back and follows Agent Carter as she balances work and being a secret agent.

  1. Mozart in the Jungle

Imagine trying to make it in the cutthroat world of New York city, this romcom follows Rodrigo, an upcoming maestro and Hailey, an orchestra oboist that revolve around music, ambition, love and money.

  1. The Night Manager

Follow Tom Hiddleston in this drama miniseries where he takes on the role as the night manager at a hotel in Cairo who gets recruited as an intelligence operative tasked to infiltrate a secret arms trade. 

  1. Dancing on the Edge

Set in the 1930s, this drama features the soaring career of a black jazz band who spiral into fame and stardom however setbacks arise that endanger their career.

  1. Lady Dynamite

An enlightening sitcom loosely based on stand-up comedian’s life, Maria Bamford where she tries to build her life from scratch.

  1. Outlander

A romantic, historical, sci-fi series that brings Claire, a WWII nurse back to 1743 Scotland during many uprisings with Britain where she meets a dashing highland warrior.

  1. Penny Dreadful

Supernatural and Grimm fans might take a liking to this British horror-drama that sets a detective, a gunslinger, a scientist, and a medium to battle supernatural forces in London.
